Puparazzi: Hachiko

Hachiko, photo Wikipedia.

Hachiko was an Akita dog who greeted his owner coming home from work each day at the Shibuya train station. When his owner died at work, Hachiko was left at the station waiting.

For the next nine years, Hachiko came to the train station every day, hoping his master would come home.

Hachiko Bronze Statue, Shibuya Station, Tokyo

To honour his loyalty, a bronze statue was erected in 1934 at Shibuya station.
The exact spot where Hachikō waited in the train station is permanently marked with bronze paw-prints and text in Japanese explaining his loyalty. (Wikipedia)
